You are overloading yourself. Universities look for great marks more than anything else. However, if there is competition and students' marks are tied then they will consider extra-curricular activities. Volunteering at a hospital is great work experience for you and shows community involvement and joining clubs(Student Council, tutoring) shows leadership. That's all you need to have. The most important thing to focus on your marks and not to be worried about other activities. Also, only work if you must otherwise it is too time consuming.

Question about 06 F-150 rear end?

I just noticed that I have a hose that is hanging loose from my rear axle. It is about 18" long and connects directly into the rear axle. There are also 2 other lines (tubing about 1/8"dia.) that go to each wheel. The loose hose is rubber and has oil or grease on the loose end. I can not see anywhere that it could connect, but know it goes somewhere.

I have a small peekapoo puppy with a dislocated knee- Is there any remedies other than surgery????? HELP!?

I took her to the vet and they told me to keep the puppy quiet and keep her calm for two weeks- by that time she should be as good as new. We brought her home and set up a small pen in the living room- but her little knee keeps popping out of place several times a day. Shes out long enough to go to the bathroom and thats it. So she hops around 3legged for a bit- then she'll act fine for a few min then she goes back to three legs. She was put on an anti-inflamatory/pain medication. However the vet said that surgery was a last resort because their bones are so fragile. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions what I could do to stabilize it for a few weeks to see if it will heal on its own. Has anyone ever heard of a puppy cast for something like this?

4 Quid For a Medium Popcorn At the Odeon Cinema?

I agree that prices are out of control. Movies are now a very special treat for my family. When I took my kids to the last Harry Potter movie, I spent almost 40.00 in tickets alone and another 30.00 for popcorn and drinks. Now call me crazy but 70.00 to go to a movie for a family (there were four of us) is out of control. So far this particular movie has grossed over 800 million dollars. I think they could afford to reduce the ticket prices just a bit. If they did, people would start going to see even mediocre movies because it would be affordable entertainment. Now you practically need a loan to go see a film with the family. Who is going to waste 10.00 per ticket and 6.00 soft drinks to go see a film that only got 3 out of 5 stars? New tile floor over concrete slab?

I'm thinking for remodeling my downstairs bath and hoping to start in the next month or so. I plan to put down marble tile on the floor. My house sits on a slab with radiant heat. My concern is, if I don't get started relatively soon, will I be able to put the new tiles down when the weather gets colder? I've heard that you could not tile over radiant heat in the winter, as it will affect the thin set and dry it out before I could lay the tile down on the floor. Is there any truth to this?

Sorry for the long details but I thank anyone who reads this, understands and answers this. I have been with my partner for 5 months however known him for a couple of years as we have a mutual friend. Over the last couple of months I have noticed his aggression. At first it was great, he was lovely and I was really happy but as soon as one another got comfortable with each other things started to turn nasty. I can’t remember the first time he hurt me but it started off with him showing his aggression through slamming my car door, or punching the dashboard.. this progressed and he started pushing me around. I stood up to him and told him that it was his last chance and he said sorry and bought me a gift. I then thought that he had accepted he had a problem and that he was going to sort himself out. Not too long after, he lost control. We don’t live together however we see each other everyday. He doesn’t trust me especially when it comes to going on the internet/phone as I have a history of online dating which he believes I am still doing. He never tells me I cant see my friends or go dancing like I used to however he will make me feel bad if I was going to go. We argue a hell of a lot but recently he has tried to remove himself from the situation by either leaving the house or sleeping on the sofa. When he left the house I followed him and managed to persuade him to come back and everything was ok. The next time, he had gone out with his mates and came back to mine at 1am. I had waited up for him and was quite tired and miserable when he got in. Because I was being off with him and he was drunk and happy he got the hump and went to sleep on the sofa as there were no trains home. I then got him up from the sofa to get him to go to bed as I was worried about his back etc. This caused a mive row and he ended up hurting me. It started with little pinches, then biting, pushing me off the bed, holding me down on the bed shouting in my face and threatening me, pulling my hair, holding his hand over my mouth, threatening to hit me, that he will come back and haunt me, that he would put a sock in my mouth if I don’t shut up, that I was lucky I was a woman.. one pinch he done made me have a huge bruise and hurt for days. During the argument he took my phone and would let me have it back. Admittedly I did try and hurt him back in self-defence but he tried to turn it around on me and called the police to report me aulting him. When the police arrived they saw my bruises and arrested him. This made him angry and he got angry at the police officers too. When he was let out the next day he blamed me for getting him in trouble and he didn’t understand why he was getting arrested for “just a pinch” and he hadn’t done anything wrong. I love him and it hurt me to think that I would loose him even though I should have been angry at him. I waited for him to contact me and the night he was realised he called me asking how I was. We spoke and sorted things out. However it made me believe that it was my fault because I provoked him and that it was just a pinch. He is good friends with my dad and one of his mates who both abuse their partners but he is certain that he is not like them. The only thing that came out of the argument was him admitting to having a short fuse which he needs to work on but I want to make him realise that “just a pinch” is totally unacceptable. I love him and we plan to get married and have kids however Im not scared that it will get worse. He tells me that I cant talk to my mates about anything as he don’t want anyone getting involved with our relationship or judge him in any way. I then feel isolated and he doesn’t understand that I need to talk to someone. He wants me to only talk to him if there is a problem and doesn’t want anyone else influencing my decision. I’m hurting so bad and trying to tip toe around to keep him happy but at the end of the day I’m not happy. I know I should leave him but I really want to make this work.

How can I remove sticky residue from uplifting carpet tiles stuck on a kitchen floor?

Previous homeowner stuck carpet tiles on to kitchen tiles. We removed them and although we cant see any sticky stuff I'm sure its not totally glue free as kitchen floor keeps hold of dirt and grime and always seems to be a bit grubby and a little sticky and dirty. I recently resigned from work that I enjoyed much. I resigned because at that time, the company is having trouble (merging with another). Before resigning, my bosses asked me to stay though I told them I'd think about it. I am still very much welcome to go back and they are in a far much better shape than last month (merging did not push though and management decided not to sell the company anymore).I am now 1 month on my new job and I missed my old job, though I don't have problems with my current one. If I go back to my old comapany, will I give the impression that I am indecisive? Will this ruin my professional reputation? If I put this in my resume, will this look bad? (Please note that I stayed 10 years with my old job and I enjoy the trust of the management). Thanks for the advise.

i have 3 hamsters in one cage 2 won't stop fighting.i know that dwarf hamsters are meant to live in groups(they have been together a long time and get one fine) . one of the fighting hamsters ( the one that is fighting ) stands on the other while the other squeaks i put the fighting hamster in another cage with the other one that i haven't talked about (they still get on fine) i try puting the other one in after i while put they still fight what should i do now ?

Birth control???????

I'm 15 and I've had my period since I was 11, so 4 years, but it's still completely uncontroled. I never know when I'll get it, I skip periods for some months, the flow changes, sometimes my cramps are so bad I have to stay home, and so on. It really bothers me and I've heard the birth control can fix this, but I don't know how to get it. For one, I don't want my parents to know because I do have a serious boyfriend and they will think I'm going to have although I won't. And I don't want to have to ask them and explain because that would be sooooooo awkward. Sharp pains under right rib cage?

For about the last 4-6 months, I have been experiencing sharp pain right below my rib cage on the right side. I am a 14 year old female. I know this is not ovulation because it happens at different times during the month. I cannot pinpoint where the pain is: it feels like a line right below my ribs running down to my hip. It is far over, being almost on my side. These pains usually begin when I am laying down on a bed on my stomach, and they refuse to go away until I have been standing for about 5-10 minutes. Help, I am trying to redo my back porch, carport floor and driveway ...?

I have started redoing the floor on the backporch, carport and the driveway. The porch and carport had carpet and the drive way is concrete with paint... I took up the carpet and applied an adhesive remover and scd all that up , and then used a cleaner degreaser but there are still a little paint on there and before I use the acid echer, I wanted to make sure that it will be OK, to leave a little paint on there as long as it is smooth.. I have removed as much as I can get off.. even by scraping with a razor scr.....The the steps say use the acid echer and then primer and paint.. Well .. my question is does every little bit of paint .. down to the concrete have to be gone.. Or just sc up what the cleaner degreaser loosened and use the acid echer and primer and paint?.. Dressmaker help! How much should I charge?

Okay so I'm an 18 year old student still attending high school, and I'm taking a fashion techniques cl. I design and create dresses to one of the professors at my school. I guess you could say I have good sewing skills, thats what my fashion teacher said. But two weeks ago my professor the one that i work with, asked me to fix this coat for her. She needed me to hem it, she had taken it to the cleaners and the threading at the bottom was undone and torn apart. So it was a long coat, and had an opening one each side, making it three parts(if that makes any sense) anyways, the middle part she wanted it to be long, so i just fixed it without cutting any pieces and hand sewn it together, then the side ones i cut about an 2 inches and hand sewn it as well. Then i fixed some other damages, then on hole was becoming undone, and at the top, inside of the coat, the satin textile was tearing, and at the side of the coat it was also tearing so it fixed all of this by hand. So I was thinking of charging her 15, is that a good price? I mean i hemmed pants before and i charged her 3 bucks but she said it was too little so she gave me 5. So do you think this price is reasonable 15

I can't get my memory cards to work on any of my cameras!?

I recently bought two digital cameras. My first camera, a Casio EXILIM only hold 5 pictures internally without a memory card so I bought one (Toshiba micro-SD brand), but when I insert the card the camera reads card error. Thinking there was a problem with the camera, I bought a Nikon Coolpix S203. This camera's internal memory is better than the Casio but when I inserted a brand new memory card (Lexar micro-SD brand) it also read that the card can't be used. I also tried the memory card I bought for my Casio but it won't work. I've tried unlocking the cards and formatting my memory on the Nikon. I don't understand why these cards aren't working. I have 2 different memory cards and 2 different cameras but they won't work in either one. What could be the problem?

I had asked my doctor last week to induce me because I was in so much pain. For those on clomid, what day did you go in for your first follicle scan?

I started clomid last month and went in on day 9 for the first scan. But my follicles weren't big enough until day 16. But now this month, I was supposed to go in for my first follicle scan today which is day 10, but the sonographer is out sick so they want me to wait until day 12 to come. Why do my Co-workers think I'm Lazy? PLEASE HELP!!!?

Basically the situation falls like this. Last May I was recently chosen to be a manager for a retail company. I am the youngest manager in my district and still am today. At work I am responsible for a lot of typical retail tasks like cleaning things up, setting up new planograms, etc... Typically at work, we are required to work 50 hours a week. I always work the full amount of hours and not only that but I stay extra to help when the stores need me. I do a lot of the little things like help other people out when they need help and I do a lot of the tasks myself which I could delegate out to other people easily. Being new in the management role I don't give a lot of credit to myself because I always give it to the team. I still do make mistakes because I am new to this career path but I never make the same mistake twice. The store has 2 other manager in the stores and 1 store manager. I can safely say that out of the other 3 managers there is only one other manager there that does his work himself with a mix of delegating. The other 2 managers including the store manager just delegate all the time and push their work on everyone else. The problem is one of my employees (Not a manager) came up to me and told me truthfully that almost everyone (including the other managers) perceived me as not doing anything and he reured me that he did not think that and he was angry that the other employees did so he stood up to them. He is basically a hard worker like me that doesn't brag about anything but gets his job done. The problem is when the other managers are not present, I do a lot of their work for them and I volunteer to do as much as I can even if my plate is full. I also do tasks such as cleaning the toilets, ringing at the registers, etc. when all the other managers are complaining about even doing that. My store manager recently gave me a review and he marked me high on the work ethic part and said I was one of the hardest working manager there especially during the holidays. Will masking tape tear painted drywall?

I'm under contract to purchase my very first house. I saw a picture somewhere (can't remember where) of a room painted dark with white stripes every couple of feet or so. I liked the look, and was wondering if I could use masking tape to create that look in my bathrooms and/or dining room. The rooms were already painted with a flat beige paint by the previous owners, and I was going to put up a dark earthy orange. I know the shade of beige that is up there will match the orange really well. But I'm afraid that masking tape might pull up the beige paint, or possibly even tear the drywall. Does anyone know of a way I can prevent this? Does speed matter here, where as the less time the masking tape is on the wall, the better my chances of taking it off without problems?

You should look at the players available everyday to see if there are players who are doing better in the categories that count.Another it is always happening that at the end of the year I am short at the positions of the "big" men, PF, SF, F, C.Keep your eye on the injuries.Try to retain players who are lowest at turnovers at their position.Again it is a good idea to have players who can play multiple positions.Last year,my 1st year.I had four teams and won four trophies in my Fantasy Profile.Two 1sts and two 3rds.Check your maximum games at each position everyday.Try to keep the number 0 or no more or less than +1 or -1.You don't want to use up all your games at any one position too soon.Mostly keep up with the injuries,the standings,and team commraderie.You don't have to be at the top in all the categories that count but you don't want four categories best and four last.Or if there are ten as I believe five and five.I always make over 100 changes on every team.With your team everything looks ok except watch McDyess and Marshall.They are aging and it is a grueling.Kleiza is un tried basically.Wallace is aging.Everyone else appears good for now.Remember J. It's not fixed, its quite the opposite. It's broken. I'm pretty sure Toronto can't over turn "the intent to blow the (game?) whistle" rule. This rests entirely on the ref. I'm guessing he lied about the "intent to blow" so he wouldn't have to admit he made a terrible call. Even then he only had a fraction of the second it touched his pad before going in.

Based on my experience that is a pretty good package, but of course, you just never know what they want, who you are facing in a given board, etc. That said, I got picked up and I was a lot less qualified than you. For me, it took nearly a calendar year from starting my application process to starting OCS, and my understanding is that that is pretty typical. It's possible that it could take less time as there is nothing that really *should* take that long, but it just does. It's a complex process and there are many different things that can slow it down.
