I still have alot of pain 7 weeks after shoulder surgery, is it ok to be taking oxycodone 5mg still?

im still in alot of pain especially at night. i rarely sleep through the night. i can hardly move in the morning. but i feel guilty about asking for more narcotics. im afraid to get addicted
