i think he likes u. he was staring at u when u were tlking t he best friends cuz he was probably jealous of them and i also know he likes u cuz u said u caught him staring at u and u made eye contact (keep doing that) cuz he likes u i know cuz that like just happened t me earlier this year, lol!!!
