I have built a spooky house for Ray on my sims but he keeps saying he doesnt like it. Duz any1 know how to?

can anyone tell me how they built Ray's house on my sims because he keep saying " I would appreciate it if you could suit this house a Little bit more to my tastes, you know dark like my heart". and each time i change it to make it a bit more spookier he always says the same thing. Can anyone tell me how you built your house for Ray.
