Is the Stern Grove festival volunteering really boring?

Hi, my friends said that it sounds boring to volunteer in Stern Grove. It's going to be my first time to volunteer for TEN HOURS a day and I WILL be BORED to DEATH. I don't know anyone who's going there, mostly likely may not make new friends or talk to anyone so I won't be motivated. Even my sister thinks it's boring and that's why she doesn't want to volunteer there ever again. So anyone, is it boring to volunteer in Stern Grove? & what makes it boring? If it's fun, what's so fun about it? & why?
